YEAR 9 SKATEBOARDS!
The content for Visual Arts Stage 5 is explored through the study of practice, conceptual framework (agencies of the art world), frames and forms of representation.
Students are encouraged in their artmaking to create and develop a personal response that communicates ideas and builds an understanding of practice.
The visual arts encourage creative thinking and problem solving which are important skills to students’ total development as well as a deeper appreciation of the Visual Arts.
During Term 2 and 4, students extended their knowledge with the design and resolution of a skateboard deck that used symbolism, representing ‘A Day in a life…’ influenced by a variety of artistic practices including Emma Hack and Reg Mombassa.
The images below are the resolved artworks of 9VA5.
