Languages

Port Hacking High School offers a comprehensive Japanese program from Stages 4–6.All

Year 8 students complete a mandatory 100-hour course introducing language learning and its benefits. They can then continue with the 200-hour Stage 5 course, developing skills through practical topics to build confidence in the Japanese-speaking world.

In Stage 6, students choose Japanese Beginners or Continuers, catering to new and continuing learners.

Students experience Japanese through cultural activities like film festivals, restaurant visits, cultural excursions, and collaboration with nearby schools. These enhance communication skills, language understanding, and cultural appreciation.
