Welcome from our principal
Port Hacking High School has a proud history as the original coeducational high school in the Sutherland Shire. We uphold the values of ‘High Expectation and Pride’ to strengthen our school culture. Our students show strong motivation and commitment across the educational, intellectual, creative, physical and social and emotional domains.
Student potential is nurtured and challenged in a stimulating, innovative environment. They are encouraged to be resilient learners with a strong sense of personal responsibility in all endeavours, guided by our motto, Ardentibus nil ardui — To Strive is to Achieve.
We instil lifelong values such as honesty, integrity, empathy, perseverance, tolerance, inclusion, and embracing diversity. Students develop self-discipline to pursue their dreams, take pride in achievements, and grow as visionary leaders. Their experiences prepare them to be confident, well-balanced Global Citizens.
Our vibrant community includes committed teachers, supportive parents/carers, and strong partnerships with feeder primary schools. Our comprehensive Transitions programs ensure smooth entry into an engaging high school environment.
